we have been Busy as a Bee!!! (Emi's words)..

Since 9/7/11.. Here is the update.

Sept 2011

Jon had his 29th birthday. We decided not to have a birthday party, because we want to want until next year when Jon turns the big 30. We have been in our house for 6 months now. Its been a big blessing. Tegan loves to watch football with Dad. Its been a blast. For game day Tegan loves to wear her BSU #11 jersey (see picture below). When I bought Tegan's jersey, I got Emi her first Boise State T-shirt (also see picture below). We love to support our Broncos.

Tegan is walking more and all over the place. Tegan is now 14 months and a big joy in our lives. With Tegan growing up she learning new words and here are few of them: Mom, Dad, Papa "Grandpa Lang", Up, 1 2 3 GO, Juice, Cheese, Jesus, and the one i am most proud of "Jon's" Learn to signal touchdown when the Broncos score a touchdown.

We got to go on a short trip to Utah the first for the month. Glenn and Brianna were getting married Nov 12th at the Salt Lake Temple. We are so greatful that Brianna joined the family. I am so happy that we get to add another Sister to family (7 sister). It was a fun and short trip. It was the first time in 22 months that i left the state of Idaho (Jon). Tegan had lots of fun with family, she like it because she didn't have to bed by 8pm each of the night, it was more like 10pm. Emi was not happy with the weather because it was so cold for her, i was enjoying the weather. Some picture will come. Tegan is now 16 months and starting to learn to talk. Her words now are: Up, 1 2 3 GO, Juice, Cheese, Jesus, outside and hat. Also with Tegan walking and learning to move more she has learn to start climbing just about everything from laundry baskets to 6' foot ladder

It was a fun Thanksgiving, great time to spend time with family and eat pies that my dad made. I missed my 2nd turkey bowl game with Uncle Stan, Jordan and Brandon. I hate having knee problems

Time is flying by so fast. Things have changed a lot for Emi and I. With the addition of Tegan a big bundle of joy she is. She is truly a blessing. I love her dearly. Tegan has grown up right before my eyes in the 2 months she has been here.

‎2 months ago I was at St. Lukes Meridian, waiting to meet Tegan for the first. I was a long day 2 months ago. At 8 am, I helped my dad move my sister and her family into there new place. When I took Emi to hospital around 11:30 am. They sent us home becuase Emi was at 2 that was around 2:30pm and by 9:30 to 10:30pm that night we where back at hospital and Emi was 4.5 and almost 10 hurs later at 8:31am (7-6-2010) we welcomed Tegan Marie Lang in our family. Thank you Mom and Dad for being there for us WE LOVE YOU so much. Some Pictures

Jon couldn't take time off from work, But I was able to meet up with Mollie and drive down to Utah. I'm so glad that I was able to go and see him off along with everybody else. Glenn has grown up so much from when I last saw him, I still invision him as being the little boy I remember him as! Time really does fly by even faster when you move away from home etc etc.

Well, on Saturday November 8 2008, I taught Emi how to shot a Shotgun for the first time. We went South of Kuna with See's. The See's are in our Ward here in Kuna, ( i work with Clarke at IGC) It was the first time that both our wives had shot a shotgun before. For me it was a blast, Emi might say other wise. We had to types of Shotgun shells, ones that kicked and other that wasn't that bad. I kind mixed the 2 shells in the gun i was using. I shot first it was a rush, i enjoyed it every much. Emi was second and it was the bigger shell, so it kicked more for her. Here are a few photos from the short time we went shooting.

Emi and I invited about 15-20 people over to the house for a BBQ. BOISE, Idaho – It did not take long for Boise State University quarterback Kellen Moore to make his mark on the national football scene. Making just the third start of his collegiate career, Moore guided the Broncos to a 37-32 win over the University of Oregon on Saturday (Sept. 20) and was named the Walter Camp Football Foundation Bowl Subdivision National Offensive Player of the Week.

A red-shirt freshman from Prosser, Wash., Moore completed 25 of 37 passes for 386 yards and three touchdowns as Boise State won its first ever game on the road against a member of a Bowl Championship Series conference. Moore, who had one interception in the game when it was tipped at the line of scrimmage, finished the game with an efficiency rating of 178.67.

Moore spread his completions around to 11 different receivers and his three touchdown passes to Tommy Gallarda for nine yards,Chris O'Neill for three yards and Vinny Perretta for 73 yards.

ESPN.com also took notice of Moore on Saturday and awarded him one of their weekly Helmet Stickers for outstanding single game performances.

Moore has completed 57 of 79 passes (72.2%) for 840 yards, five touchdowns and just one interception in leading Boise State to a 3-0 start this season. His efficiency rating is 179.82.

In the five years the Walter Camp Football Foundation has been awarding national player of the week honors, Moore is just the second Bronco to earn the award. As a sophomore in 2006, running back Ian Johnson won the same award when he rushed for 240 yards in Boise State’s 42-14 win over Oregon State University.

Boise State is off this Saturday (Sept. 27) as it prepares to make its first national television appearance of the 2008 season on Oct. 1 (Wednesday) against Louisiana Tech University. The game will be broadcast on ESPN and kickoff at 6:07 p.m. (MT) in Bronco Stadium.

USS Kitty Hawk says sayonara

YOKOSUKA, Japan (AP) -- The oldest active ship in the U.S. Navy, the aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk, made its final departure from Japan on Wednesday to be decommissioned after nearly half a century of service.

Sailors spell out "sayonara," or "farewell" in Japanese, as the Kitty Hawk leaves Japan for the last time.

The Kitty Hawk, with sailors lining its decks, pulled away from Yokosuka port just south of Tokyo to the cheers of hundreds of schoolchildren and the sounds of brass bands.

The Kitty Hawk, the last conventionally powered aircraft carrier in the Navy, is to be replaced later this summer by the USS George Washington, a nuclear-powered carrier.

After leaving Japan, the Kitty Hawk will make a stop at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii and then travel on to the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, Washington, to be decommissioned.

The ship, commissioned in 1961, was assigned to Japan in 1998. It has since made 20 deployments in the western Pacific and participated in Operation Enduring Freedom in Iraq.

It was the oldest active ship with the longest total period of active service in the Navy.

"Since it arrived in August 1998, the Kitty Hawk has been a visible symbol of strength in a rapidly changing world," U.S. Ambassador to Japan Thomas Schieffer said. "Goodbye Kitty Hawk, hello George Washington."

Sailor treated for burns after fire on carrier

The Kitty Hawk and its battle group are the centerpiece of the 7th Fleet, the largest in the Navy, with 40 to 50 ships, 120 aircraft and about 20,000 sailors and Marines. Roughly 21 of the ships are based in Japan and the Pacific island of Guam, while the others rotate out of ports in Hawaii and the U.S. West Coast.

Along with the other 7th Fleet ships, the battle group in Yokosuka, once a major Imperial Japanese Navy hub, has a huge area of responsibility -- covering 52 million square miles of the Pacific and Indian oceans, from the international dateline to the east coast of Africa.

Japan's leadership strongly backs the U.S. military presence in the country and says the more than 50,000 U.S. troops in Japan are a stabilizing force for all of Asia.

However, the replacement of the Kitty Hawk by a nuclear-powered ship is controversial among some here because of fears of an accident. Navy officials have stressed that the ship is safe and pointed out that nuclear-powered submarines have long transited Yokosuka with no problems.

Concerns about the George Washington were raised again earlier this month when a fire on the ship left one sailor with minor burns and 23 others with heat stress.

Sailors extinguished the fire several hours after flames were spotted near the auxiliary boiler room and air conditioning and refrigeration space in the rear of the ship. The Navy said the fire spread through a passageway for cables.

The George Washington is scheduled to be based at Yokosuka starting in August.

Busy Busy

Its been busy pass few weeks. Well on Saturday May 17, 2008 it was a busy day. Jo graduated from Boise State in the morning, She got a degree in Commination. The guest speaker was Barbara Morgan the teacher from McCall, Idaho the went into Space last year. She spoke on what was like and how it felt as she went into space. One of the think that i learned from Barbara was that every 45 minutes there is sunset and sunrise, and some other things was how she discribe what it was like taking off.

That evening Joanna had her awards for Drama, it was called the Tracy Edward Awards. The awards were named after Tracy Edwards how passed away 5 1/2 years ago, its given to a Drama student that meet requirements that the teach has set. I only know a few, some of them is that you have be in Act 3 Drama for 3-4 years, you have to have a speaking part in a play, have to be in charge of a tech part of a play (example, Makeup, Lights, ect.), have to be a director, have to gone to computations, all around goodness. There was 4 girls from this years class up for the award, the drama teacher Mrs. Link got up to announce the winner, she went over what it took to be giving the Tracy Edwards award, and the winner of the award was Joanna Lang.

For Emi and I that was a long day. It was a great day for us and the whole family.

Well, what a week, between the work and family, its been busy. This week (January 21 -January 26), we have added another member to the Family (Glascocks) added Traci Lue Glascock, Monday morning, she was 8 lbs 8 ozs. She looks like her mother. Work has been good for both Emi and I.. I am still working at Sprint in Eagle, and Emi is working at UPS in Garden City. Also JJ is getting married to Travis Baker March 21, 2008. We are so happy for her, i will post picture of the happy couple and of Traci Lue as soon as i get some pictures of the two.
